we all know quite a bit about beer. But it never hurts to sit down with
a noted expert and have fun being schooled, in beer that is. That's why
we have a local brewer stop by the Map Room most every month to walk us
through some of the nuances of beer and its appreciation. Greg Browne,
brewmaster at Mickey Finn's
Brewery in Libertyville, IL, is our regular guide. Students study
several beers and learn exactly what they're tasting and the roles that
the ingredients and the brewing process have in forming those aromas and
flavors. Don't miss a great opportunity to enjoy fine beer, good company

Purchase Policy: Tickets go on sale on the Monday evening before
beer school, starting at 7 p.m. -- no earlier. As always, it's cash only,
maximum 2 tickets per purchase, and first come-first serve until
all tickets have been sold. You must have a ticket to attend Beer School.
Sorry, no exceptions. Tickets for the next class go on sale on April 15.
arrive on time if you want to sample all of the featured beers. Late
arrivals will not be allowed to "catch up." Also, please
be considerate of our speaker by keeping the noise level to a minimum.
Remember that the bar can already be quite loud and most of our beer school
guests are actually interested in what Greg has to say! There's always
