Welcome to The Map Room Beer Pages
Too often we slam a beer and then slam another. We don't appreciate the finer qualities of beer. We see the commercials, raise our glass, and gulp it down. We might take the time to reflect on a bottle of wine, but never beer.
But at Map Room, we always take beer very seriously. We offer over 200 unique brands representing 36 different brewing styles from the U.S. and all over the globe. Whether you choose from of our 26 taps, a cask-conditioned ale on handpump, or one of our bottled beers, the quality and selection is world-class. The proper glass is always used for each style, then rinsed before serving to insure optimal head retention. Our draft and cooling systems are state-of-the-art, and our staff has been trained in draft systems technology and quality. And our manager Jay Jankowski is also one of the select few in the USA to have earned the Certified Cicerone credential.
Our beer menu is constantly changing because we take enormous pride in our selection, ensuring freshness and a wide variety. We try to keep our pub and online menus as up-to-date as possible, but to be absolutely certain of what's available on a given day, please ask your server or phone ahead (773.252.7636).
We now
serve Bard's Tale and
Lakefront
New Grist for our guests who are on a gluten-free diet.

Cask Conditioned Ale Map
Room always
features a cask conditioned ale, cellared in our separate cask cooler
and served via handpump. These beers rotate quite regularly, often more
than once per week. Make sure to check the beer menu above the bar for
the latest offering, or ask your server. Our
current cask is Two
Brothers Bare Tree Weiss Wine (11.5% abv), a barley wine
strength strong ale brewed with a sizable portion of wheat malt. Fight
off those chilly March winds with a warming glass!
